There’s something about a crawfish boil that just feels like celebration. It’s casual, communal, and irresistibly fun- everyone gathered around, sleeves rolled up, sharing food and conversation over steaming pots of spice-filled goodness. At Good Food Events + Catering, we’ve brought this New Orleans tradition to Tampa Bay, giving guests a taste of Louisiana’s most festive dining experience, done the right way.
Our owner is a New Orleans native, so this isn’t just a menu, it’s a piece of home. We source fresh Louisiana crawfish, boil them with all the right spices, and serve them with jumbo peel-and-eat shrimp, smoked sausage, corn, mushrooms and red potatoes. Add in plenty of cocktail sauce, hot sauce, fresh lemons, and crackers, and you’ve got yourself the real deal.

More Than Just Crawfish
While a true New Orleans boil is a meal in itself, if you are hosting large groups in the Tampa Bay region, we suggest some alternate dishes to please anyone in our crowd. Our menus go beyond the boil itself to include dishes that highlight the depth of Creole cooking. Guests love our Chicken Creole, a slow-simmered tomato-based dish that’s both hearty and comforting. For a vegetarian-friendly option, our Eggplant Étouffée offers the same rich, layered flavors, paired with perfectly seasoned jasmine rice. And of course, a crisp Orleans Salad with Creole mustard vinaigrette balances the meal.
And then, the finale: our Bread Pudding Flambé station. Guests gather around as our chefs flame bourbon-pecan caramel sauce over homemade bread pudding and vanilla ice cream. It’s dramatic, delicious, and the sweetest way to end the evening.

Best Season for Crawfish Boils
Because crawfish are seasonal, the best time to enjoy a traditional boil is March through May, when crawfish are at their peak size and most flavorful. We only book these events during this season to give your guests the ultimate New Orleans experience. (Though we would love to host a Low-Country boil at any time of the year)
Perfect for Corporate Gatherings + Networking
Crawfish boils are more than a meal—they’re an experience. They invite conversation, laughter, and a little bit of fun competition over who can peel the fastest. That’s why they’ve become some of our favorite events to cater for corporate gatherings and networking nights. There’s no better icebreaker than cracking into crawfish with colleagues and clients.
We’ve hosted these signature boils at some of Tampa’s most loved venues, including the Bob Buckhorn River Center (Tampa River Center), the Davis Islands Garden Club, and the Tampa Garden Club. Each setting offers the perfect backdrop for an outdoor-inspired event with a laid-back, Southern feel. We would love to host one at your company’s location or a private residence with an expansive outdoor space.
